Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  • In a small bowl, combine ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil with 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar.
  • Whisk the mixture until well blended.
  • Add 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh basil, and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano.
  • Stir everything together, then let the dip sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes to taste for a little kick.

Notes

To get great taste, utilize premium olive oil. Allow the dip to sit for a couple of hours before eating. Offer it alongside warm bread with a crispy crust. That makes an ideal combo.
